May 25, 2011 - 3 weeks old already - All the puppies continue to grow, and they're become more active every day. They recieved their first worming today. We had fun weighing each and measuring out the correct dosage - calculator in hand just to make sure. Little white puppy teeth are starting to break through and mama will be very happy then the're weaned. Puppy formula is now being offered as a suppliment - watching them learn to lap it up is more fun then watching TV... Sometimes they get more on themselves then in their bellies. Lessy is always near by to clean them up when they've finished.
May 21, 2011 - Puppies have their eyes open and they're up on all 4's. They're becomeng more vocal and mobile. 2 of them have already learned to escape the whelping box! 2 of the boys are already spoken for and there is much interest in the girls. I spend a bit of quite time with each and they are very comfortable being picked up and petted. Lessy is continuing to be calm and proud of her pups. We will be taking more photos tomorrow, now that they move so quickly, it going to be more of a challenge!
May 14, 2011 - These puppies are growing so fast, some are starting to open their eyes. They're getting around in the whelping box much easier. Lessy continues to be a calm influance in their lives... Lessy is eating well and taking very good care of her pups. She takes plenty of time to keep them clean and fed before she asks to go out and play fetch.

May 5, 2011 - Lessy and Puppies are continuing to thrive. The pups are able to get across the box more and more quickly. When the pups are quiet, Lessy sneaks out of the box to play a bit of fetch, eat another meal or drink a bit of water. She keeps an ear tuned to them and as soon as they start to make noise, she's ready to jump back into the box.

May 4, 2011 - Lessy and Puppies are doing well! We're all getting into a rythin already. Lessy remains calm and proud of her family and is taking very good care of them already. She is happy to move out of the way when I box them up in order to changed the bedding. She doesn't take her eyes of the box, and is very happy then the're returned to their clean box. Cleaning after them is a full time job.

Sorry for such poor quality images, I didn't want to use a flash at this time..... Better photos to come!
May 2, 2011 - Puppies are born...... 3 males / 6 females. This is a nice uniform litter. Nice dark, well formed puppies with lots of energy and no problem getting to the milk bar. Lessy has settled in and is calm and nurturing.
April 30, 2010 - Dr. Said that Lessy "looks wonderful, she is healthy and happy and very active considering she has 9 or 10 puppies inside of her"! She passed her check up with flying colors! Dr. also commented on how wonderful Lessy's personality is, she said "we don't see many with such wonderful personalities - especially not German Shepherds". I took it as a complement....

Ruff and Lessy were bred in Slovakia and she came home to Deer Park (Houston), Texas. We chose this pair for their temperament and steady nerves and also for their workability along with their beauty. We expect the puppies have excellent temperaments, be smart, have plenty of drive and have beautiful black and deep red show coats. They will be wonderful for sport and as companion/protectors.
Puppies are were born May 2, 2011!
